A beautiful Pompano Moonrise!
For those of you who are curious about our contractor, the following information was sent to me, unsolicited, by our contractor who wants to keep us informed. It also doesn't hurt that I (my money, not yours, don't panic) keep buying the workers lunch every few weeks.
1-Stacks 4 and 5- There are 3 units not passed for final inspection. Two are waiting for the glass contractor who is supposed to show up next week. The third is a minor tweak of a shutter.
2-Stack 6 begins the first round of final inspections next week.
3-Stack 7-The holes are in process of being drilled in anticipation of balcony railing installation. The bedroom windows have been 1/3 completed. They are doing 1/3 at a time due to the wet weather and trying to limit wind driven water.
4-Stack 8-Work is continuing on the balcony side. That should be ending soon. The window side of stack 8, aka the front of the building, is now a priority. They are working to get all openings closed as soon as their work passes inspection and they are allowed to fill in with new concrete.
5-FYI-We keep telling you not to enter construction areas. Today Ali was their with the foreman doing their jobs. The wind blew fine concrete into Ali's eye. She looked like Mohammad Ali AFTER the fight. The foreman, who is used to this, flushed her eye immediately and thank goodness her eye is fine. THERE IS A REASON WHY WE TELL YOU NOT TO ENTER THOSE AREAS!!!!
6-I promise no more updates over the weekend! Stay safe!
Stan
