Hello Aristocrats!
1-First some upsetting news. A few days ago one of the construction company's newer workers broke into their storage area and stole the new railings for our fire tower. He also stole shutters from stack one. The good news is that the contractor is responsible for replacing everything. Ali and the foreman spent 2 days working with the Broward Sheriff's Office. We had his face and theft on our security cameras. The Sheriff has identified him and knows his address and his auto tag. He is supposed to be arrested today. His ID info is out with the BSO Sheriffs. Please don't assume that we don't know what is going on. The fact that it is being told to you now is because we will not interfere with an ongoing police investigation. We were told late yesterday by the Sheriffs that we could now inform you.
2-Of course item #1 means that there will be a delay in putting up the new railings on the fire escape tower. New railings will have to be remade. Concrete repairs on the areas are already done.
3-On a happier note, we expect stack 6 final inspections to be completed by Friday.
4-Stack 7 is in the second week of shutter reinstallation for those who wanted them reinstalled.
5-Stack 8 has new concrete continuing to be placed on the decks. PH 8 and 1208 will have their sliding doors reinstalled and the wooden walls removed on Friday. As always, weather permitting. The frames of 1108 and 1408 will be removed next week. The "eyelids" on the front of the building, stack 7 window area is now reconstructed and the forms removed. Stucco is being applied even as you read this. (Unless you are reading this in the evening!) After the stucco is applied it will all be painted.
6-The parking deck will be done soon. The wall at the top of the ramp has been repaired and reinforced. The second floor deck was supposed to have a second top coat put on today, but it had to be postponed due to rain. We need it to dry out and then have a few days of a dry forecast.
