A beautiful but active surf. Some important updates. 1-The Broward County mandate for wearing masks in Common Areas and social distancing is still in effect. Please be sure you are wearing masks in the elevators. Believe me, I will let you know when the mandate ends! 2-If you are going north for the summer make sure you fill out an EMPTY UNIT Form. If you are gone and forgot, it is on our website at aristocratcondo.org. You can fill it out and send by email or regular mail to Ali. 3-Speaking of our website, it is now working perfectly. Go to the website and if you haven't already registered, register now. When I post on the website you get a notice that a post was added. There is a link. Click on the link and it takes you directly to the message posted. That is how we will be sending messages. It is easier for everyone and allows us to have info on the website that you can check if you forgot something. 4-Speaking of information on our website, check the Owner's Apartment Preventive Maintenance page for helpful hints on things you should take care of. 5-FIRE DRILLS!!! Just kidding. We are not having fire drills. We have had 2 incidents. One was burnt hot dogs. They might have been Hebrew National, I'm not sure, and the other was burnt popcorn. Suggestions from talking to our alarm company. If you burn hot dogs, popcorn, or as I usually do, toast, put on your kitchen fan, open the windows and balcony door to clear the smoke. Don't open your unit door. There is a building wide smoke detector out there. Now, in case you have flames and/or so much smoke that you can't breath or are afraid for your life, open the unit door and run like hell! That's exactly when we want the alarm to go off. And don't stop to close your door. The fire department made us put automatic closers on them!
